mazda B3000 rear axle swap

hey guys i was just wondering if you guys would know anything about this i want to swap my existing axle(c-clips are broken and tearing gears) so anyway i was wondering i have a 1998 mazda B300 with 3.73 gears in the back and front and was wondering if i could swap it out with a ford explorer 3.73 rear axle because i have heard of people swapping the rangers rear end with an explorers so idk if you guys could help that would be awesome

o i was wondering also does it matter what year the explorer is im guessing probably a 94 or newer can anyone confirm this

a 2001 explorer and down will work. a 95 to 2001 has disc and a 91 to a 94 has drum. the only difference for the explorer axle is that you have to reweld the spring perches on top and add shock tabs. i have done this swap in 4 vehicles and its been a favorite of my swaps.

i just bought an 8.8 for 50 bux has 67k miles on it, its same swap from ranger to mazda, brake lines and axle length are the same, i will b installin tomorrow after i hit the junkyard up for some 410s with shims

tell me how it goes for you try and get about how many hours to because i want to make sure i can get it done in a weekend lol although im sure i can i would just like to know and if you can get some pictures of the axle before then after and what your truck looks like before and after thanks
