I might use the 13b in my current DD since i'm having so much trouble with the 2.9, my questions are as follows:

can somebody make an adaptor plate to hook a 13b to the A4LD? the rotary isn't much on low end torque, but peak is the same as the 2.9, just higher up the band, so if i have an automatic and torque converter it should be okay if i combine it with...

does anybody know where i could find 4.56 gears for the 7.5 and 28?

A 13 B in a Bronco II? I can't help you with the adaptor plate, but I'll help you put it in.

A rotary is slow with an automatic when it's in a light Rx-7.

Seriously, you'd be happier and likely cheaper to put in a torquey 302.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the rotary.

But it's an engine for a sports car, not a truck.

I know there is one for a T-5 but none for an a4ld, I would still suggest the rotary for a car, but good luck

its an engine for neither :icon_rofl:

but it is better suited for cars than trucks. pretty much all rx7's came with 4.10 rear end gears with much shorter tires. i don't even think i've ever seen an auto rx7 (the guys at rx7club.com have a pretty good tech library about this) 4.56 is the shortest gears that you'll find with the 7.5/d28 combination but with the taller tires i just don't think that those will be short enough to make it work.

How about putting in a EJ25 series motor from Subaru? The least powerful one make 155hp.
