Mastercraft - 4 ply AT/2 or 10 ply C/T?

I'm going to need 2 new tires. The two I'm keeping on the truck are 1/2 worn 4 ply Mastercraft AT2. I'm thinking about stepping up to the CT for a better tread pattern and more tread depth but they are a 10 ply tire and weigh 12 lbs more. Think it's worth it? I'm wondering about gas mileage as well as how it will ride with the 10 ply over the 4 ply.

Here are the specs:

Size 245/75/16

AT2: 34lbs, 14/32 tread, $291 for two mounted on the truck
CT: 46lbs, 18/32 tread, $351 for two mounted on the truck

Ended up going with 10 ply Wild Trac LTR IIs, made by Cordovan. They ride just as well as my old 4 plies.
 
Those C/T's ride like shit, and are hard as rocks. They won't grip rocks very well but they will last forever. They are a commercial truck tire afterall.
