What's the difference between t5 and t45?

Well, that answered my question. But, hmmm... It would appear that it's not going to be compatible with my 91' 5.0? Unless I get the QuickTime bellhousing that would allow it. Is that even available yet? Has anyone ever stuck a T45 to a pre 96 5.0?

When you say "it's not going to be compatible" I assume you're talking about a T45?

In that regards the answer is No. It won't fit because the bolt pattern is different and the T45 is a 31 spline shaft IIRC and the T5 is 28. Someone will have to check me on that but I almost guarantee you'll have to use an adapter. I believe the adapter is available somewhere, but honestly, why pay that much? Could you not just find a T5? Why do you even want a 45?
