Manual to Automatic swap

I want to swap my manual 5 speed with an automatic. What is involved? It has a 4.0 and is 2wd. Thanks

You will need the trans (obviously) the PCM, and there is a section of control harness that is just for the trans that you will need. There may be a few other things I'm missing, someone will chime in with it soon enough though, I'm sure.

The trans you need MUST be from another 4.0, AND it must be a 2wd trans (unless you plan on converting to 4wd...) Not positive on the years that will work, but 95-97 almost definitely, and possibly 98-01 as well. A trans out of an Explorer should also work fine, but like I said it must be a 4.0 2wd.
