can u put one locking hub on a bronco 2 so that when put into 4 wheel drive all four tires are turning or would this just be crazy. also what would have to be done to make all 4 tires turn. would i have to switch out the axles or could i just change automatic hubs for manual ones?:icon_confused:

Your hubs lock in the axle shafts. In order to have both tires on the same axle spin, you would need a locker in your diff.

In the long run, it's far easier to just walk around the other side and lock the hub.

I usually only unlock the driver's side so that I effectively get exactly what you are after.

Maybe I am lost? I thought he was asking how to make both tires turn on the same axle which would require a locker.

lost i am as well.... if you lock only one hub in, you got a rear wheel drive vehicle. the locked in wheel will not turn, because the differential will cause the unlocked shaft to spin.

if you want both wheels to be powered, you need a locker
