Making half doors/door pins

hey, you are leaving the window frame and the entire exterior of the door, right? as it of course adds ridigitity to the body

What part of "half door" wasn't clear?

so i suppose something like this, wouldn't be considered a tubular half door?

done on a toyota but same idea. cut out original pins and replace with quick disconnect ones. id be worried about just using bolts

That is alot of pipe you really don't need that much on it prolly on bigger size with a brace would be good.
jesus grade 8 bolts are a bit overkill, but the pins look like a bolt but with no threads and usually have a hole towards the tip like a hitch pin

It can still be a halfdoor with the top of the Frame(only) still in place, it is safer and you still have half doors. The main purpose for the halfdoors is visual clearance when wheeling. However Since youev already cut them Im pretty sure I know what yours look like, they will turn out great either way.

Hes still got the top half of the door frame too, and those are an awesome choice. Ill be doing a set of them sometime here in the next 6 months I hope.

agreed, those look good,

the reason i ask about the door frames is that outer frame of the door adds structural integrity to the body, removing that top part will compromise the structure... flex your truck out really hard one time, and open the door, see how it lines up while still flexed... same principals are in effect if you roll it...
