Mag light holders

i have a 94 and used the plastic ones like shown above, but just took the screw for that platic peice out and put the screws through the mount and screwed them back in...fits perfect

Mounting them high on the pillars has two issues.

They are visible and this might tempt a thief.

AND FAR MORE IMPORTANTLY it is likely ILLEGAL in many jurisdictions, not as an "obstruction to vision", but because in a collision it can easily become a
LETHAL projectile.

You think that maglight mounted to your A-pillar is gonna stay there
if you get rearended?

I can easily see you hitting someone who runs a traffic light or stop sign and getting that maglight in your face at high speed.

No thank you.

If you MUST mount a flashlight to the "A" pillar MAG Industries sells clip brackets for the
minimag flashlights.

And while I still wouldn't want to get hit in the face by a minimag at 50mph I doubt a mini mag will be lethal.

a three D-cell Maglight? Oh yeah, that can easily become a lethal projectile.

Mount it to the floor somewhere.

Getting hit in the shin or ankle isn't gonna kill you.

and before you disagree with my thought that a maglight could kill?

I KNOW someone who died in a minor accident when the rear view mirror
detached from the windshield in a collision and hit them in the head... just right...

the accident wasn't even bad enough to pop the airbags...

And as another note I've finished off a deer that I hit with my truck by wacking
it on the head with a maglight, I broke it's skull, and my swing was nowhere near
as fast as one would be moving in any kind of collision.

I put my flashlight in the center console . . .and it was free . . . .

Check out QuickFist's by endroad industries.

I use them for holding down my shovel and high lift in the bed of my truck. They work awesome, and the mag light or whatever else you mount in them isn't going anywhere unless you take them out. They were designed for firemen and stuff like that.
