Made negative progress today... Need welding help

I haven't got out to work on anything truck related in a while. Works got a biy hectic and its been a bit too hot to work with hot steel after work.

Liner... tip... old wire (scotchbrite and clothespin).

Blow the liner out with compressed air. Usually in the shops ive worked in they would pick up a lot of grinding dust and clog up. The liner itself was good to go still.

The spool should spin freely on the holder, maybe some slight tension to keep it from going crazy. Once you get the machine set, just weld faster or slower. At least with the homeowner style machines. They can take so much effort for a professional to get to run correctly. I refuse to even mess with them.

I had a feeding problem with my cheezy flux welder, I run the big wire and use the little set of grooves on the feed wheel just tight enough to grip without slipping, it wouldn't with the large grooves...
