Maaco Quote.

haha what a joke 6300can = 3000 us i dont no where youve been in the last 20 years but seriesly dude lets see some pics

The paint on my truck was 7,000, my dad painted it himself, so he knows people and he got it for about 2 grand, what a great deal, good thing he knew people at Dupont.

That may be true, but where are the damn pics?????????

Yeah, seeriously....
Last maaco job I saw, horrible, just freakin bomb-can it! but really it depends on the shop, I saw one maaco job that was pretty good, depends on the the employees at the certain location.
My dad paints and restores cars for a living, he charged I think around 9 or 10 grand for one on a Boss429 last year, and the Boss302 he's doing right now set the guy back like 25, but thats with new floors and a quarter and partial assembly:icon_thumby:

Sorry, I just took pics lol.
After mudding haha.

A little.
No problems with it at all.
Its the perfect paint for the perfect price.

What??

Did I read right??
$6000.00+ for a paint job! !

I do my own paint & body ,@ $600.00 for a complete paint job ,providing there's no major body work, thats paint & material, (sanding ,masking,ect.)..

Hell I have $1k in paint, primer, and paper for my truck. All BASF Diamont, and some of that was at a discount. The cost all depends on the quality of materials you use. Granted I did buy a little more than I needed incase I ever need to touch stuff up, but I didn't go overboard on it.

The last car we finished before I left the restoration shop I worked for had $18k in a '66 corvette. All we did was change the quarter panel, lower nose, and then all the bodywork, gelcoat, primer, and paint. That was materials, parts, and labor, of course. Never took the car off the frame and the car was already stripped when it came to us.

Moral of the story, you get what you pay for.

:dunno:

Either that or he's waiting to get his dixie airhorn hooked up and the Rebel flag painted on the hood :tease: before we get to see pics.

I got the dixie horn hooked up :)
And the rebel flag magnet one the hood :)

I'm gonna post some pictures tomorrow after the sun comes out.
I'll take pictures of some of the flaws in the paint.

Alright, I took pictures months ago.....
I just put the White Walls out and put the badges back on, but haven't had a chance to take pictures,

I had a Macco paint job on my 92 Ext Cab Ranger XLT (same color as original) early this spring and next time I will go to a private shop. Had to take it back for messed up cowl and they didn't seem to care about how they did the job. They missed fixing some minor dings I showed them too. It cost close to 900. Really can't recommend them at all. They didn't even do the door jams or sills and got over-spray all in the under side of fenders, etc.
