I want to replace EVERYTHING. do any companies offer kits that have everything (including TO bearing/ slave cyl. etc.)?

96 ranger, 3.0L, 4x4 m5od

the napa kit comes with throw out bearing, pressure plate, pilot bearing, quick connect tool and of course friction plate. the slave cylinders changed in '92 so that's probaby the reason they don't include those. I think you can get the slave and master cylinders together, I think the slave isn't available without a throwout bearing, so you'll most likely end up with two of them depending on what clutch kit you get...

I priced a clutch kit from the dealership for $261 with tax for a 4.0. It came with everything, even the slave cylinder.

yeah I was thinking of getting one from the dealer. that way I know it'll work correctly and will be a good quality product. I'd HATE to have to do this all over again.

Virtually all available clutch kits, including those from the dealer, are made by LUK.

Which is why the price is comparable (with a slave cylinder).

If it really makes you feel better, go to the dealer, but it isn't necessary. And you'll still need an auto parts store or machine shop for the flywheel (I recommend replacing it with a reman).

I'd just go with a dealer clutch kit, that way you know it's Luk.
