M50DR1 question

I have a M50DR1 trans and I havent seen the thing for four years and was wondering if this trans has a top plate that comes off to get inside and look at the gears.

There is no plate persay, but you can take the shifter out and look down inside it....

Yes there is a removable top cover

Yes there is a large removable cover, the FM-146/145 also have removable pans on bottom as well as a top cover.
