M50D-R1 rebuild manual

Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild / shop manual for the M50D-R1 transmission in my Ranger?? I have searched the forums....... no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

i would also like to see this because i have the M5OD-R1HD?? i think it is, in the 4.0 rangers I THINK??

and i would like to make it alittle stronger if that is possible

You aren't going to make it stronger.

And the transmission is totally adequate given correct maintenance.

There is a teardown/assembly manual in the chassis service manual. The art of rebuilding is inspection. No manual can teach you that.

I agree with you on the inspection of the parts, but where can I get a chassis service manual?

Easiest is E-bay.

i bought a chassis manual for a 96 just for that off e bay and found out the manual trans section is in the 95 manual because they didn't change the manual trans for years but they changed the auto trans a lot so they didn't include the manual trans or clutch in the 96 shop manual.
