Lucas diff oil

any every use the LUcas oil products diff oil. is it a good product, ive used alot of thier other products with lots of success any feed back would be great. thanks

Used it in the gas tank and it seemed to help the engine run a little smoother after the second tank full. Thats only seat of the pants feel though. I also did pass the CA emissions test after that (after failing the first test in 3 areas) and the only other change (other than a fuel filler hose which was one of the failures) was spark plugs.

i use the upper cylinder lube and power steering fluid but i wanna know about their diff oil. is it worth the $ to use with my lockrite

I used it in an old toyota i had and it worked good, quitend the noise down a little bit ( it used to have a slight gear whine)

Their other products are strictly viscosity enhancers, so I'd suspect this one is as well.

It's equivalent (and a lot more expensive) to using a heavier lubricant.

It's probably fine for a differential, but for transmissions and crankcases, heavier oil isn't necessarily going to get into the smallest passages anymore. Like oil holes and rod bearings.

The lockright doesn't require anything fancy for oil, all I ever ran with it was 80W90. Gear oil is one thing that I won't spend alot of money on.
