New here and just picked up a 95 Ranger XLT extended cab. It has a 2.3 with a 5spd trans. Looking down the road to swap in a LSx engine and 6spd trans and boost. Can’t seem to find the exact info on google so maybe I can get a answer or get yelled at. Guess there isn’t a kit per say for this said swap or swaps out there.

The Triton engines are wide, and so not a popular choice for Rangers. Same with the Coyotes, in addition to how new they are. With either one you are taking the path less traveled, if not breaking new ground.

If you want power and an easy fit, LS with boost.

Yeah I was leaning towards LS and boost. Wonder if there is a mount kit or just wing it.

mount kit?

have you ever worked on one of these?

this platform ties for no 2 favorite engine for me. other is 351 windsor.

just google ls engine mounts....or go to ruff stuff....off road design...whatever and see what tickles you.

the cast steel manifolds from the trucks allow you to cut them and fit up/re orient some sched 40 pipe and whatever flange you want with a mig welder and bucket of sand. f body oil pan if you can find one cheap enough if you get a pan that is too big with whatever engine you end up with.

or you can run an ecoboost. i am going to run an ecoboost in my b2.

the l/s will be cheaper and easier though.
