Lowering

How many coils did you cut out and how low did it get? i honestly dont care that much about chewing through tires and all the excessive camber.:icon_thumby::headbang:;missingteeth;

I would advise against flipping the rear shackle. From my understanding flipping it will effect your pinion angle and move your driveshaft back potentially creating problems. Cutting springs is also unsafe.

If you are going to do it you should do it right, buy a DJM 3001-3/4 kit which includes drop beams and leaf spring flip kit .

In theory if I cut the springs the put it on a lift and find out how low the beam can go without risk of the spring straight up falling out I could buy some limiting straps and fab up some way to mount them since I have access to a lift welder etc. also I was just gonna buy a flip kit I don’t want to deal with pulling the bed and taking out all the rivets just to flip the shackle.

I can see where you are coming from, sometimes I have to try things for myself also before I figure out it's not going to work for me. If you need this truck, I would go to the junkyard and buy a spare set of springs for it. Then you can experiment all you want, and then when it doesn't work out, you can slap the other springs in to get you going again.

That’s actually what I was planning on doing just in case since I can pick up two springs for 20 bucks.
