Finally getting off my butt to replace my radiator, the fact that it was leaking out the top was a big reason as I was holding off until spring.

Despite coating both transmission lines with PB blaster for a couple of days. I twisted the line when I put some leverage, and broke it off. The joys of rust and cheater bars.

I've done brake lines, can I make a new line from Steel tubing. 5/16 inch of course. What do I need to do?

Never done it, but I'd think it's be exactly like a brake line. Might even find one of those repair hose sections that already has the right fitting on it. I wouldn't think twice about one of those and a compression fitting on a transmission cooler line.

I used to have an Independent Auto Parts place that sold lines with fittings pre-installed, place closed 10 years ago, and I had to learn to do my own brake flares.
