Can anyone tell me If my 94 ext cab 4.0 d35(3.73) is a high pinion or low pinion, and how would I tell. I have been searching for 4.10's or 4.56's and I keep getting asked this question... Thanks for the help!!!

It's standard, or I guess in your terms, low pinion. High pinion differentials are very easy to spot ans the drive shaft hooks into it at the very top of the housing. Sometimes slightly above the top.

Umm, no it's not. :nono:

The TTB D35 (used through 1997) is high pinion or reverse cut, just as stated in the Tech Library.

Yup...reverse cut, high pinion......

I didn't notice the year in his post. My fault.

Once again thanks for the help!!!!!!

I believe ALL Ford front ends made before 1998 are high pinion. This includes D35, D44, D50, D60.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

LP frontends are found in many 1977 & earlier Fords too.
