be careful there.the great thing about the 4.0 is that its detuned for under the curve power.most alum. wing types only notice the cam going flat not what it does before you get there....before our minds close and we "know" we're right.

all that extra torque lets you stay below 2500 in most conditions without lugging the motor.i LIKE the fact i have so much torque down low i need to rev it up and blow it out now and then to keep her cleared out.
plus all the untapped potential to bring it up to the 2.9l's state of tune if i wanted to.
O.P.- ditch the 3.27's they're killing you. its really not a lot of work to grab some complete axles and the speedo gear from a parts truck.ask yourself why ford needed to gear it like a new mustang so it can reach a top speed of about 150mph?(not that it will-governor,etc)
the percentages allen wrote might look small but its more than you'd think
