Looking for info and advice on a swap

Ok I have a 1993 Ford Ranger (splash) it is the 4 cylinder, Manual trans It just turned over 320,000 miles on it and I am thinking of going with a v-8 what motor and trans is the easiest to swap into this truck and what all is involved? I also have a 2000 Mustang Gt with a decintly built 4.6 that I am going to swap a 4 valve set-up into possibly so that would leave me with this engine to put into the ranger. But I would like to keep the ranger swap realtivly as easy and simple as possible even a nice carbed 303 or something. any info and suggestions would be great thanks in advance to all.
