lookin for well educated opinions..lol

You looked through the bumpers post at the top yet? I think I have my BII bumpers posted in there as well (also made from rect. tube).

oh I see..cool. where would the relay go though with that? And yes I will admit it I am a huge dumb@$$ when it comes to electric soooo..what exactly would the relay do? lol, I'm sorry, I really am. I'm totally clueless I swear. And finally as far as the bumper post at the top do you mean the "show us your custom bumpers" forum or whatever the title is? and if so then yes I have, I even paged through the one at explorerforum.com. Some sick stuff in both:icon_cheers:

and ranger5.0 sure pics would never be refused. Sounds cool just through the description even.

lol, yea 1/4" does even sound like a lot, plus what was said before about it, its been exnayed from the selection. Nobody's said anything about 10 gauge though, is it not that popular or something?

That's probably around the same as 1/8", no? (maybe even thinner?) I'd have to check on the exact size of 10ga again

Steel thicknesses over a certain amount are usually described as 0.120", often just called 1/8", 0.180 or 3/16", etc.

oo ok, I wasn't sure if it was different or not. Doesn't sound too common if it is a special size anyway though so it'd prolly be more expensive for some stupid reason that noone can ever logically explain..sooo yea, now its 3/16 or 1/8" lol

I used 6" x 6" square tube 1/4" wall reinforced with 3/8's plate. It is overkill, but it does the job. I did some estimating of the weight, and figure that the bumper itself comes in around 120#'s. Combined with my winch, the whole thing should weight a little over 200.

If you are looking for more pictures and more details about it, I have a build thread around here some place.

hick, thas cool man. btw what kinda fender flares are you running? I can tell those deff are not stock lol.

seriously? I didn't know they sold winches.. its alright, I didn't seriously know what the actual prices of winches were I just threw out a random figure that sounded about right lol. seems to me I was off a bit:/

Dug around through my receipts, I actually paid $465 shipped for the winch. I just checked out Summit's website, and they are no longer listed on there. As for the flares, they are Bushwackers. They looked nice for a while, but bouncing off of trees has taken a toll on them.
