I am goin to look at some new trucks tomorrow! One is just an plain black 98' ranger XLT and the other is a 99' sport ranger, step side. What is the difference between the sport model and the regular (what ever model). I also heard that there were some electrical problems with the "extra options" pl pw ect does any one know any thing about these problems? I would really love the input!

Thanks!

They are basically the same truck, sport I believe is also an xlt just more upgraded not to be confused with the new sport which has a different suspension than the xlt, you should take some pics when you check them out and post em up so we can see lol as for the eletrical problems I haven't the slightest clue tell us more and I'm sure someone will be able to help

I've never had an electrical problem on my '99... never heard of any either.

i haven't had any electrical problems with my 98 XLT. its also for sale by the way.:icon_thumby:

The Sport got you body-colored bumpers, fog light, aluminum !5" wheels (4x2), aluminum 16" wheels (4x4), cloth seat, rubber floor. The XLT had the same seat, carpet, no fog lights (optional), chrome bumpers and grille, A/C was standard. There was a second up-market XLT package that included power locks and windows, cruise, etc.
