well the final figures are in (for now) they want to give me 2143 and change and the salvage title to my truck. Not exactly what I had hoped for. But I guess I will take it and fix the truck myself! I got a lead on a splash front end ( always wanted a painted bumper grille combo on this truck.)when it is done it will be the dark blue with silver scallops or silver flames separated by neon green pinstripes stay tuned.
I figured out where the ice came from! The house next door had Gutter helmets added about two years ago and last winter was very mild( no ice buildup on the houses) this winter we had alot of snowfall, thaw, then more cold temps so we had alot of Ice Damns on the roofs this year. Just my luck

that sucks same thing happened to my other car but the insurance said it was not covered calling it an act of of god.

I heard that line already. So now religion plays a roll in your coverage. What if god to you was Eddie Van Halen? Do I ask him for the money?

Updates on my saga!

Finally got the settlement with the insurance company.
$ 2,149 and I keep the truck with a rebuilt title!Not what I wanted and they wouldn't budge. Talked to the lady next door her company was about the same.
SO got it reinspected then retitled with the rebuilt title. was doing some parts shopping at one of the local salvage yards for another project when I found a choice 7 ft bed and tailgate off a low mile 98
$20 for the tailgate and ........$100.00 for the bed!
what a steal!!!! It is at my buddys barn now being prepped for paint .the bed and the t gate will save me about 15 hours of body work . now all I have to do is the door and front fender damage, strip the hood and fix the rust ( missing paint on the roof.
looks like I am gonna have a boatload of money left over! YAhoo!
