my truck is a 90 2wd i just ordered 1.5 lift coils and also made a .50" spacer, i know this is 4x4 section but 2 and 4wheel use same shocks and figured you guys know more about the lifted section, my question is can i use any kind of factory shocks off another vehicle, i comprered them with some bronco shocks but the were exact same length so i was thinken maybe pre 97 f250 shocks might work? im on a budget because im supposed to be finishing another project truck and not spendin money on the daily so i was tryn to find a cheaper way than lift shocks

Lifting a suspension is generally done for offroad use, so your question fits here in the offroad section fine :icon_thumby:

You'll probably need to look through a shock catalog to find their lengths (you'll need ones about 1.5-2" longer than the stock ones).

IIRC, the stock ones are around 14.5" extended, so you'd need ones 16-16.5" long.

hey 4x4junky how did you brake the james duff radius arms? what were you doing? i was going to get a pair but now i dont know, i know this is not about the subject at hand,i just wont to talk to some one thats had them...thanks

i know this is not about the subject at hand,i

Normally I would say this is something you should use Private Messaging for, although they seem to be broken at the moment

I never had JD arms, Try PM'ing crbnunit, I think he busted his (may need to wait for the PM function to be fixed though). He had the current-style arms on his 3.0L truck.
