In 2005 I took the shower out of the bathroom off the master bedroom. About 45 min. ago I finished putting in the new shower. Was wondering who else had a home improvement project that has taken longer then planed to finish.

That sounds like most of my projects. I do all kinds of planning and prep work, then i take off sprinting not realizing how long the road ahead is. Suddenly i (my wallet) run out of breath, collapse and never even get close enough to see the finish line.

I'm just patiently awaiting the "about 45 minutes ago i finished..." part

I'm still hauling around my '68 Torino that I started in 1982.... does that count?

lol.....

I have stalled truck projects....

And I'm living in a house that was started back somewhere around 2004, IIRC. Still have no doors inside the house, couple unfinished walls, one room is missing a floor (just limestone on top of a vapor barrier), etc. Work on it when I can, but when the weather is nice I'm usually working outside. That is, when I'm not trying to make money.... lol

My bike is a constant project, but it runs and I ride it regularly...

My dad built his house in 1990, and it's still not totally done. I remember being little and running around between studs in what are now 2 bedrooms.

hmm..put down wood floors in the living room 3 weeks ago and still havent put down transition strips and 1/4 round. meh i guess ill do it when the wife gets tired of looking at it

i started adding a bathroom on my parents 3rd floor attic in july of 2009. last weekend, my dad and i put the last of the sheetrock up and started on the concrete board. still a ways to go

^^ +1 the wifey-mate is the one who ensures most of my projects get done in a timely fashion.

pretty much all of my projects are like that...
