Lone Oklahoman?

what part of oklahoma are you in?

I love it here in the Tulsa area. Big enough to have all the necessities without the big city traffic problems. (Then again my commute is from one suburb to another)
Another thing I like is I can drive in almost any direction and be at a lake in about an hour or less.

im from muskogee. yes another okie from muskogee i dout there is any other on here!
meral hagered has his song okie from muskogee

daniel, where are you in NE oklahoma? I'm in Pryor. Not a native, I came here when a company in the industrial park here hired me out of college at OU two years ago.

I grew up in the OKC area, Norman and Edmond. Apparently a lot of people don't realize Oklahoma has cities...sure it's no Houston or Chicago but the OKC metro area contains over 1.1 million people. I much prefer OKC to Tulsa as OKC has put a lot into downtown development in the past 15 years or so, to the point where there's actually a reason to go downtown other than employment. Not to mention Tulsa's roads are falling apart.

im in tulsa. right in the middle of Tulsa.

every time i tell someone im from Oklahoma the response is, "are there a lot of horses and tee-pee's?" haha. i like Bricktown in OKC. i love going to concerts there and getting to walk around. Tulsa has started to step it up though with downtown. a lot of it is starting to look really nice. the roads though, well they still suck

I live in Ada, OK. Not much here down in these parts. At least it's peaceful. We do have East Central University. Lots of open country.
I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life. Mostly SW and SC parts.

ada eh? well im from sulphur. the marine corps put me in san diego for 5 years and just moved me to maryland.

i was in oklahoma 2 weeks ago and did some hog hunting on the ranch. nice place to go to and relax.

btw, Oklahoma is a powerhouse for wrestling. has been the top program in the nation since the beginning. even though most people are familiar with Iowa wrestling, Oklahoma State still holds a better record.

OKrangerMan, where do u hunt and what do u hunt?

Oklahoma State is one of the best wrestling programs around. I've been an OSU fan all my life. a guy i went to high school with is actually wrestling at OSU now. Jamal Parks. He was ranked number 1 in the country in high school for his weight class

i'm about 45 mintues south of Durant, OK. you guys seem to be pretty far up there! lol!

@c_note: I hunt on SW oklahoma on my grandma's place. As to what anything that's edible. I also hunt here around Ada, I have a couple of places. I usually hunt deer and turkey. I also fish when I get the chance.

Im up in stillwater going to school right now. Originally from the Guthrie area. I make it up Northeast to Vinita quite a bit to see my girl though. Its good to know there are some other okies on here. :woot:

There are quite a few rangers around here, but not near as many as there are mustangs. I swear I can't go anywhere in town without seeing a half a dozen of them.

Im a little late to the party but im also an Adan, well i dont actually live in Ada (although i did for a short while) its the place I call "town". Ive been a member here for a long time but havent visited much in the last couple of years. I also frequent Sulfer cause thats where my Wifey works.
