lockrite locker or the extream traction system

mac, i will keep you in mind, i married into a chevy family so i am a outkast with my ranger so i basically do the work myself all the time, im over in pittsville, about 18 miles north of wisconsin rapids, could of used u for the m5od swap, neway next on my list is a manual shift t-case and manual lockin hubs

you can look in to the detroit ez locker on sale for $199 at 4wheel parts.

EZ lockers and quick locks are garbage, stay away from them, Powertrax and Aussie make the only good lunchbox lockers.

granted theres discrepancies here, i drive a f150, but still it had the 8.8 with the 4.6 in front of it all.

i ran the powertraxx front and rear until the rear one died. summary of what happen the day it gave out...

i saw a puddle, i splashed through it. pulled onto asphalt and nailed it, felt one bang and a series of clicking. all i know is when i pulled it out, the teeth would not mesh except for in one position. can u believe it? that thing broke/warped or whatever way you want to put it from that puny 4.6L!

i now run a full locker, detroit. i feel the lunchbox locker is inferior design as a whole. i atleast have my reason, i broke one!

mostly a wt issue there...

if you drive like an idiot(myself...a driving idiot) your r&p will probably fail nect and then some tube twisting.

i got sick of destroying the 8.8 and had to go bigger, sounds like you have the same problem. just dont know it yet:bye:

oh trust me i know. 4.88 gears, lightning powerplant up front, 35" tires. all around that lil 8.8... im waiting for the next "pop" so i can sell my locker to my brother, and go get a 9.75.

im just saying for a stock 4.6 powerplant, those years was what? 170hp roughly? i had 180k on it so im definately not anywhere near peak hp and it still hurt that powertraxx.

im gonna go with the lockrite, not the no slip, short on cash, i can live with the tickin in the rear, thanks for all the help you guys
