I also was looking at the auburn LS with the ability to lock it in. I thought it would be great on the curvey mountain roads I live in, then lock it in for the fun stuff. How will a true locker do on curves over a LS? Also I have read not to a LS in the front and they dont make an ARB for the D35 IFS, so will a locker in the front axle work safely on icy roads?

Nothing is safe on icy roads. A rear locker isnt really noticable on the road, only tight turns into a parking lot or something, you can hear it clicking. The rear end will try to kick out if you gas it on any slippery surface. Anybody with common sense can handle lockers on the road.

He's talking about the front though... From what I hear a locker with cause the front end to keep going straight while you turn on snow/ice, and I'd bet an LS would do the same thing.

Yeah, I have an aussie in my D35 and on ice/snow/sand/mud it make the truck really want to straight, rather than turn(if in 4 wheel drive of course!)
