Not sure where to put this question. I have found a doaner for a 4.0 swap. It was in a rollover and the front passenger wheel assembly broke off. How can I load it on a trailer without having a wheel?:icon_confused: Any tips or tricks? I know I will need a winch, but something to slide on?

Would the wheel dollies to move vehicals in shops work?

I have a 16' Utility with sides, but I may have access to a car hauler if I ask nice.

Can someone put this in the general discussion? I messed up.

someone else on this forum mentioned in another topic a while back:

turn the hood upside down and use it as a slide for the missing wheel

Thanks Tony, hadn't thought of that. The hood is not usable anyway.

I like to use scrap plywood under the break and drag it on and off.Have someone watch carefully and take your time tear up the trailer and even asking nice won't help.

I think my 16' utility would be fine after thinking this over, it has wood floor and I have only myself to blame if it gets damaged. How much of a winch would i need? 2000lbs with a snatchblock, or a comealong?

lay some plywood down on the trailer where the hood will be dragging.
