Load E too much?

Maybe I'll just keep my eyes open for some cheap 15" rims so I can get the BFG's in a C rating. That is what the FX4 have.

The 265/70R16's are more expensive. Would a D rating be any better?

wrangler duratracs come in a c-rated 26/75/16, if yu sit high enough to fit em. theyre 31.7 tall.

I'm a little surprised that the 265s are more expensive, I would have thought it to be about a wash since it's a lighter duty tire. It should be at least a little bit better in the ride department, not much though.

What other sizes are available to you? Maybe there's a tire an inch taller that would be about the same price? I always look at that you might as well get the largest tire available that will fit your vehicle and not cost too much more. Kinda like looking for the best value in tire sizes.

i'm running E rated tires. no complaints about the ride, and they sure do wear good on such a light truck. 215/85x16, just over 31" tall. hopefully by next summer, i'll be riding on 235/85x16 E rated tires, nearly 32.5" tall. :headbang:
