Lil Bro's First Vehicle

I just got an '84 Ranger 4x4 for my younger brother as his first vehicle. He's pretty excited, and has big plans. The truck was cheap, and it needs a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to using it to show him how to work on cars and trucks. Jim (my brother is Nick).

me and my dad did the same thing as you are with your brother when i was 13, and she still isnt finnished

It's an '84 regular cab. The motor is either a 2.0 or a 2.3(truck says 2.3, but it looks like it may have been swapped). It's a 4-speed(big plus in my opinion) 4x4. Right now it's somewhat spray-painted gray primer, has chrome spray-painted steel wheels, and pieces of wood for a tailgate. Future plans call for some bodywork and a repaint. One kind of cool feature is a small air compressor mounted under the hood with a toggle switch on the dash. I've already used it to inflate a wheelbarrow tire. All in all, it should be a good first vehicle for my brother. He's already talking about offroading it. Jim
