Great advice. Also, have you recently replaced the am/fm? There are three hot wires for the radio and one acts as ground until you turn on the lights, then it is hot. If that one is grounded it will poof the fuse.
You may also want to check the light sockets- if there is rust, a peice can fall out and short between the terminals. Remove the bulbs and have a looksee.
