Instead of tack welding the front axle shaft Ujoint caps, I tacked the C clips to the shaft.

Instead of tack welding the front axle shaft Ujoint caps, I tacked the C clips to the shaft.

caps are gonna spin and you're just gonna egg out the yokes like i did with full-clips

Probably but the yokes egging out and the caps spinning dont have anything to do with each other.

All that matters is that the caps stay in untill the shaft fails first.

The fact that the yokes egg out simply means that they are weak and end up stretching.
