lifting bed

...Was mainly wondering what if any issues I would encounter with the wiring primarily but guess its not much of an issue.

The tail light harness just unplugs, right behind the bumper, leave the harness in the bed.

The fuel pump wiring all stays in there till the bed is off. Use caution with the connector, mine now has a few zip-ties holding it to the sending unit.

And on another note... If lifting off by hand, remove the tailgate to lessen weight. If lifting off by straps or hoist, leave it on and latched for strengthening and supporting the bedsides.

My stepside bed was so light I could have lifted the whole thing off if I could have got a way to get a grip on it. I ended up using one arm to lift one side and pull the tie down straps with the other. It was easy just awkward. I know the standard beds are way heavier.
