Lifting 2004 2WD ranger XL

the spindle is the part of the front suspension that holds the brake disks, and where the wheel bearings go, basically what hold the tire to the suspension. the lift spindles are taller to compensate taller shocks so that the upper ball joint can be attached and keeps a natural angle(keeps it straight vs /

well if u want it cheap i would say factory 2" blocks on the rear and coil spacers up front.
if u want to spend i would say shackles for the rear and spindle lift up front, the expensive choice will give u better flexing tho

hmmmm, well i like high quality so the spindle lift sounds good, i wouldnt want to spend much over $1000 for a kit so hopefully it isnt too expensive? What kind of suspension lift is the fabtech 5.5? What is an example of a spindle lift so i can get ideas for prices?

Fabtech's 5.5" kit includes the components for the both the spindle and control arm/coil spring lift. It's basically 2 kits in one. If I were you I'd get the 5.5 kit. Its under your budget and will look killer. Unless you want a 6in lift. You can get that from Race Car Dynamics. That one runs around $1500-1600 and includes Bilstein shocks. Which are nice shocks from what I've heard. Get pics up once you get your lift kit installed. We love lifted trucks around here. :icon_thumby:

RCD kit:

Note: It lists only up to 2003. I think it should be the same suspension for a 2004. You may want to double check if you decide to buy the RCD kit.

thanks a lot man! It will be awhile before i get it done but when i do the pics will be up for sure.

I'm planning on doing the PA 3in body lift and 5.5 fabtech. How much should it cost for a shop to install it? With that much lift, what size tires should I run? Depending on that I'm assuming I will need to regear but what else will I need to do besides regearing? Thanks

Ive got an extra rear from a 95 in the yard. It might be the 8.8. currently Im running the 7.5 with 3.73. it it more expensive to try and make this a 4.10 vs just buying a used rear? 7.5 parts are hard to find right? Does anyone in Nc have a 4.10 rear they want to sell. I just put my body lift back on and soon will be installing the 2 inch spacers in the coils and blocks in the rear.910-880-0241 Nick

I now have a 3 inch pa body lift on plus some kc day lighters on the bumper :D I took out my subs to save money and plan to add a spindle lift and 33's or 35 inch toyo open country mts in the spring. Then get some audio back in. Got to do some body work too but all part of the fun :icon_thumby: thought I'd give an update hope everyone is doin good :icon_thumby: going to get pics up too soon!
