lift kit drop down bracket info

4x4junkie i plan to use the truck mostly offroad and some around town ,

In that case, I wouldn't suggest cheaping out on the lift.
Skyjacker is very much worth every penny.

Yes, SJ has dual-hole brackets configured for 4" or 6" lift (TC is 4" only).

As for XJ coils, they're just about perfect for a BII, DD or otherwise. I cant speculate on it being the same for a Ranger, though I doubt it would be something you couldn't control with a swaybar (at least on a Reg-cab Ranger).
However you cannot cut corners even the slightest bit on the steering with XJ coils. If you do, chances are it will be completely undriveable (something beyond a simple normal drop pitman arm is absolutely required at 4" lift or above if you run those coils).

thanks 4x4junkie by the way i am sure i will find some info on this question in the tech library but what size lift jeep xj coils would i need , do i just need 4'' lift coils for a jeep xj ? , thanks

Mine are Skyjacker 6" XJ/ZJ coils pt#JC-60F. They sit right about 5¼" lift on my BII. I suspect they'd be about a half inch less on a reg cab Ranger, so you shouldn't have any problems getting it aligned if you have 4" brackets.
