Wish I had more room...

I'll snap a couple pics of the garage and "shop" when I get the chance.
Oh, and Krugford, do you live in a "backwoods" area or a rural/metro area?

I live in a town of about 12 people. I can do "just about" anything you can do on the farm. I would have to say rural, sort of, it's only 10 miles to the closest actual town.

So then you could probably get firewood pretty easy/cheap. I would use that instead of natural gas. It's one hell of a lot cheaper but it doesn't heat as well/quick. But once you get it going, you could have it up to 80 in the middle of winter. (Trust me, I have a father with bad joints that tends to the stove, the house is always cooking, sometimes we have to open all the windows and doors!)

Timing is good on this thread. I have been having a shop built for the last 4 weeks and they are supposed to be finished with it tomorrow. 26x 30 with a 26x20 carport in front of the garage (same roof). $40,000...

The first bid I got was 65K!! stuff ain't cheap anymore...

no pics but its 60'x40' two bay doors, bathroom , wood stove ,and up top is a reloading area and chain saw sharpening station. ill take pics over weekend.

24/7 Access to my work is the best benifit ever.
This is just part of my bay, and we have 5 more
Excuse the mess, we pulled an all-nighter swaping my engine

:tease:

That's been my shop for the most part... I have some of my tools in a garage at the moment but there's no way to get my truck in the garage because of building materials for the house that's attached to said garage.

For about two years I had use of a heated shop while I was off at college... made friends with the owner of a local junkyard and spent all of my spare time up there, often with one of my trucks in the shop on a lift turning wrenches and BS'in with the guys there. I miss that.

Mine a 30x50 that used to be owned by a mechanic who ran a business out of his home. I spend more time there than in the house...

This shop is the reason I live 30 miles from work.

I am going to kill you and assume your identity. :secret:

This is just the storage area of garage, needs cleaning and some projects finished.

Getting there

The slab is down. Framing starts Monday. Will be 25' x 49'. Enough room for my pickup, tools, mowers, work bench, etc. Can hardly wait.
Just realized I didn't put up pics of the finished version.
