Okay okay... Im not a game show host but I thought after other guys started the mystery tool thread etc. Maybe it would be fun to post parts that are odd balls that dont really have a commonly know name or something that easily stumps auto part stores employees.... (thats not hard)

I think the rules should be era of vehicle and make/models and a picture.....

Your clues are
1985-90
Ford
Crown vic

(And not the sensor)

Times starts now....

So this is a thread solely for adsm and ron... because they are walking libraries of part numbers.

E or F - 0 - 9 D Z 8500-8690 revision A -?

There's my real answer.

Part numbers go by first year made, type of vehicle, basic use, department, true part number and revision. So 80s though 90s, car, coolant, hoses, and unknown revisions.

Previous owner was a plumber?

If if was a plumber it wouldn't be steel lol
.

The funny thing is on a 89 grand marquis it looks like that but a 88 and a 90 had 90° turns in them why I have no idea but all 3 in the jy where the same trim and engine.... so why so different lol

Sound legit lol idk really... this was all just an elaborate scheme to get someone to look it up hahaha

Its a hydrostaticsyll upward input flow pipe connecting the hot water inlet to the rear frame coolant tank for the tailight warmers.
It is only used during periods of extreme cold weather. Thats why it's probably corroded...lack of use/maintenance.
The sensor is connected to an idiot light in the dash.
When the light comes on, you know there's an idiot in the vehicle.

It is a sensor of sorts, has 2 wires

Its for temp of course on a heater hose, screwed into the intake most likely, and can be used for a few things on a Feed back carb setup, for spark control and/or idle pot

But I like the tail light warmer thing, I hate it when mine fog up when its cold out :)

I am seeing Crown Vic 1st generation as 1992-1996???

OK, I see the LTD model Crown Vic trim

Pick something that was used after I got out of diapers and maybe I'll know.
