So I was thinking about swapping out my interior dome light with and LED's and mounting 3 small LED's under the hood with a toggle switch mounted near the battery for them for night work. Also put 4 LED's under my truck basicly all four corners of my truck for wheeling purposes only. What you guys think about that? How hard do you guys think it would be to wire up. I know nothing about LED's. Thanks.

as easy as buying the proper sockets and wiring them up. I am in the process of replacing all vehicle lighting with LED's to lighten the load on my alternator. most are designed to work with existing sockets. except your dome light, unless it is a 164 or a 94 (possibally a 194 ....... the little peanut bulb that uses the same socket as a 164) it will be difficult to find.

imo...nothing beats 2 55w wal mart cheapies mounted to each side of the frame.

The main thing to keep in mind with respect to LED lights is the reduced load - if you change out the turns without figuring resistance and the load needed to properly operate the flasher they will flash in Turbo mode if at all. The commercial LED bulbs already are configured to work properly and are plug-n-play in the right socket. Making modified set-ups requires a bit more planning and electrical knowledge. I want to replace my dash lights with LED along with some of the other interior lights like the headlight switch illuminator.
There is a page on car domain that describes the process for modifications but I do not have it with me right now - I am in the airport - LOL. Someone else may be able to help you with that - I have seen it posted on here a few times.
Good Luck and let us know how the mods go - PICS

No no no my mistake. The LED's under the truck on the corners to light up the ground. kinda like streetglow. just for wheelin at night.
