LED 3rd light for Second Gen Rangers?

I want to get an LED 3rd brake light for my 1992 ranger, but all I could find were ones for 3rd gen and up.

Do they still fit or is there a place I could get my hands on one?

I couldn't find it. They only have them listed as 1993 and up.

You could always just replace the bulbs with LEDs. You might need a resistor though, I had to put one on my 93 with the one I bought from LMC

The second gen does not have a 3rd brake light, its just a cargo light. The 93+ all have the 3rd brake light.

Could you possibly create a 3rd tail light for a 2nd gen by tying into the rear brake lights?

yes that is what i did. i ran a small wire from the brake pedal up to the cab light threw the interior then i had an extra bulb socket so i just tucked the other one out of the way and grounded one wire to the roof brase and installed a red bulb. dosen't look to bad.

I have thought about getting some transparent red paint and painting the lens instead of using a red bulb but just never got around to it. but if i could use the light off a 3rd gen in LED that would be killer.
