Lean condition

I'm gonna break out a can of carb cleaner and check for leaks and trace the vacuum lines.

I can rule out the ecu because its the same problem with two separate ones. Fuel injectors are definitely a possibility I suppose.

Wont be able to pull codes until tomorrow, but I'll check back in just a minute after I check all the vacuum stuff again.

Definitely not a vacuum leak. Does anyone have any good links for cleaning injectors?

Could there be any connection between this issue and a bad battery/alternator/regulator? I just took a volt reading off my battery and it was 12.7v, so normal. Turn on the truck and within 30-40 seconds my volt reading had climbed up to 17v which I would assume means my external regulator is shot and possibly my battery.

Yes, higher voltage can effect many things when using electronic sensors and controls.

Remove B+ wire on the back of the alternator(the bigger wire), tape it so it can not short to ground.
Start engine, it will be running on battery power only now, engine can run 20-30minutes(without headlights on) using battery power.

Yes, most likely external regulator is the issue, diagram of wiring here:

Make sure no wires are disconnected or frayed

Best test of battery is after it sits over night or at least a few hours.
12.7v is a newer battery
12.5v is a few years old
12.3v means time to shop around, 5 years old

12.2v or lower and you may be walking on the next cold morning :)

Use a can of Seafoam in the gas tank, cleans out injectors nicely, $8
Rebuilt injectors run $25-$30 each, exchange

Turned out to be a bad ground from my battery which was causing all of my electronics to not work properly.
