Leaking filler neck

My filler neck is leaking on my 93. Is this a hard fix? How long will it take, also do I need to drop the tank to do it? Thanks

I had to do this on one of my 91s. The easiest way is to drop the tank. It should be held up by 5 bolts that are likely to be rusty and in need of replacement. Soak them with WD-40 before attempting to remove them. It shouldn't take more than a couple hours, depending on available tools and skill level, but take your time.
My tank straps were also bad, but I didn't get the factory replacement since they were $110. I was broke so I bought some universal tank straps for like $15 and they've been in there for 8 years with no problems.

What is leaking in particular? The hose? The neck? If it's the neck from rust, damage, etc. you should just be able to unbolt it from the bedside and unclamp the hose and replace it with a new one. If it's the hose, mine was leaking on my 92' because the hose slit below the clamp so as a temporary fix I pushed it up further on the neck and moved the clamp below it to stop the leak. When I get around to it the correct way to repair it is to replace the hose completely. I don't know if it can be done with out dropping the tank but from what I saw with a general glance I think you will need extra clearance to get the lower hose off the tank. I'm personally going to pull the bed off mine when it comes time to replace it because it's simpler to me to pull 6 bolts(4?) out of the bed and 3 outta the filler neck and have a friend help me lift it off and set it aside leaving me access to the entire tank area while leaving the tank securly fastened to the frame so I don't have to fool with having it loose and flopping around especially cause I don't have access to a lift most of the time. It also gives me a great check to check/fix any thing that the bed usually hides like the frame, rear susp., etc. Good luck and I hope the info was helpful

Wait 'till you buy the hose... over $300 from ford. I saw a link on here from a guy on ebay selling new ones for way less... I'll try to find the link.
