I don't know about laws in IN. but here in MD employers have to offer you 2 choices of pay normally check or direct deposit. Employers kinda push direct deposit because it is easier for them but it is not mandatory. If you do not like direct deposit I would look into your states laws for employers.

I don't think they have to offer you a paper check here. One place I worked gave the choice to get a "pay card" which was like a debit card your paycheck went on, or direct deposit.

they won't write the check if it will bounce. i'm the only employee left so i don't have to worry about being the last one to cash it. they are really good about letting me know what is coming in and don't give me false senses of hope. the sucky part is that i don't have a credit card so i'm just broke... period.
