started it over a month ago and finally got the hair up the wahoo to finish it the past two nights.

And the best part is that it is ALOT easier to lift than I would have ever thought!

Looks good. I would have made one that swings to the side though, it would make for easier loading and unloading of stuff in the rear.

still lift it to chest level but its not too bad the fabbing of a swing away woulda been a bitch with the rear hatch and all. started making a swing away initailly but wasnt stout enough for my liking

yeah all i do is thow it up onto the the center spindle then i get the "centering plate" onto it once thats all in place the spinner goes on super easy.

really wanted a swing out and I tried making the pivot 3 different ways each time there was just way too much flex. even the one I built for the bronco 2 has too much flex. if its a swing out i would want it to be able to support me when open (like the mazda was)
 
all this just to adjust pinion angle. obviously not using shims
 
rear axle is finally back in. had to cut off, make new and reposition shock brackets on the axle as well. moved the shocks out about 2" further on the axle as well. uppers are still in the factory explorer spot. seems to ride much nicer with the shocks a little further out. also bye bye highway vibration (was above 65). would still like to address the front shocks and possiably put some piggybacks on there but I will just have to wait and see if these commisions will be big enough. and I would really like to put on the beadlocks first. decisions, decisions, drcisions
 
Selling the boggers and beadlocks due to the fact that i'm NOT stoked to run adapters and NOT looking forward to dumping money into gears and a locker/spool again to build a 60, sterling, or corp14.

To add to that for what i should be able to get for the tires and wheels i'm confident i can find a descent set of 36 or 37's locally and just run them on the 15x10's might eventually do some DIY beadlocks on one of the many sets of wheels I have right now. think I have 3 or 4 sets of 15x10's and a set of 15x12's

Also sold the IROK's last week (one needed to be patched) and put a hole in one of the junk HAWG's up at camp this weekend.

UPDATE: spent the past two weekends up at camp and both times ive destroyed a tire. luckly they were just the junk hawgs and I had a spare both time's to the only headache was swaping them. however this had left me with no spare tire's. so the decision had to be made wither order 16" rims to fit my trucks bolt patter or find a different set of tire's

well after some dickering around I still have the boggers and beadlocks (still for sale) however I just picked up a whole rig that came with a descent set of 37" irok's on 5x5.5 steel wheel's. truck is a ramcharger that is a REAL JEM. however gonna part it out and run the tires on the explorer.

also spent some time in the garage figuring out front bumpstops, I'm fairly happy how they turned out. due to lack of good space to mount them I ultimately decided to mount them to contact the link. i did weld on a "landing pad". due to the leverage i'm not 100% happy with how they are working but only time and use will tell. i figure i ran the truck for soo long with no bumps that whats the worst that can happen. also glad i did them since it gave me an excuse to pull the springs and cycle the suspension and check for any bindig issues that i have not checked in awhile. and i did find one issue. under HEAVY compression the tie rod was binding against the drag link. i tried to look for a good fix and the only way is to find a longer pitman arm or relocate the steering box which isnt in the cards right now. i ended up putting just a slight bend to give the little clerance needed. also found that F250 shock towers are 100% not needed. at 100% compression (shocks installed) the axle is clearing the engine crossmember by less than an inch, the grease zerk has a buisness card worth of clerance between the tie rod. so compression is plenty far. at full droop the pinion angle is about maxed. so travel is well in check using the factory upper mounts.

I'm no pro at this bumpstop thing but read as much as I could find and went to town workin on it. I think the arm should be strong enough to controll travel.
