Kroussin 93 Explorer build

Talk about a budget build, your doing just that.QUOTE]

wife, kid, house,BILLS gotta be thinkin bout money all the time. I fall into that working poor catagory. i make too much to get any assistance while the one's getting assistance are living a life with more money than I do at the end of the day. but that's o.k. i can say ive paid for what i have.

i am in need of a drivers side front complete front door panel (xlt) gray in color. dont want to pay top dollar but dont want it for free. so if anyone has one that's in good condition or see's one at the local junk yard pm me.

i "might" have a red one.. that being said; i think i'll end up in the junkyard next week. if i find one-- cover the price of it and shipping and i'll pick it up for ya. depends on my work schedule if i get to go or not.

thats fine. ideprefer a gray one as i dont feel like tryin to paint it and get it to match the rest of them.

(today's thought's)

I think i'm gonna start soldering all my wiring connections. at lest the butt joints as of right now i run uninsulated terminal's and mastic heat shrink. but i think i will get as good as of connection soldering them and wont have to wait for terminals to ship.

with all the dickering around ive been doin with the front coil's and money i will be spending ive often thought about ditching them and goin air shock's. two issues are that that would take more time to figure. but the dollar amount would be similat other issue is that i get the impression that they dont really handle the best on-road and that's somthing i'm trying to achieve with this build. i would like to be able to jump in and drive it a couple hours to camp on lake michigan without having to white knuckle it the whole way

Just go with coilovers

I dont know why but i just DIDNT have any motivation to work on the truck today.
i just sat here and thought about it all day which really didnt help anything.

i cant stop thinking of what i'm gonna need to do to get the deal's worked out this week. i'm crossin my fingers that by next week i have gears, lockers, and a warn 9.5 sittin in my garage. i just mainly want to know if i gotta get some rear perch's and if I can start working on rear shock mount's or not. and as for the front i obviously need gears anyways so now would be the best time to get them in.

GGGRRRR!!!!

the race is on to see who's truck is done first. and when i say done i mean done done. hittin the trail with confidence done.

it'll be a close race. but unfortunately for you it's my garage and I can kinda dictate serious progress by keepin my truck(s) in the garage. :thefinger:

but that would be just UNFAIR. once the sploder is sittin pretty you can drag the squirl back in

just droped a line with warn bout my blown hub, we will have to see where this go's.

went and looked at the donor f-150 and it looks like it should be a good time gettin her out. where she sits it's muddy, wet, tags are about head height down the road and there is 10 full cords of wood that needs to be cut before it can make it all the way out. should be good time's.

talked with the guy regarding trading axles (f-150 TTB) and explained that all i want is the engine trans t-case and wiring and he could have the rest if i get his axles and warn 9.5 sounds pretty promising. so i will prolly be goin to cut alot of wood the end of this week to get the ball rolling.

to start the weekend on a good note. my package arrived from ruff stuff. time to start gettin stuff together!!!

pics man pics!

give it time and i'll flood this page with pics. been bustin my butt in the garage. i can say however that i am really happy with how the coil bucket turned out. it's just too bad i ran outta welding wire or they would prolly be done and the trac bara bracket would be on the frame as well. all I gotta say is tomorow's another day.

I am snaggin pics as I go just havent been takin the time to get them uploaded. tryin to wrench on two truck's is takin it's toll on me!!!

uh another night with no pics. i yanked the winch off the mazda and have started designing the front bumper. all i have to say bout it is HOLY HUGE!!! front spring issue is 100% resolved by customizing the factory bucket and tweaking the lower bracekt (pics to come soon). trac bar bracket is done! engine x-member is trimmed, tranny lines moved(to allow clerance for the bumper), and decided against the bug visor so I yanked that.

also found out that the lights that came on the truck have air craft landing light bulbs in them. turn's out replacements are cheap but apparently they are prone to burning out. and have a life expectancy of 25 hours so i guess i'll run the 2-hella's and 2 D.C.s and compare on how long they last.
