Koda's Zx2.


Of course, it's the most common color for Zx2's. Next red or blue I believe.

I'm just mad because bumpers were on sale for 14, so now I have to wait again. The scratches and broken parts aren't that noticable on mine so I suppose it's not that big of a deal, I just want it to look spotless. Although that's never going to happen, unless I redo the bondo job in the back and repaint.

I would if it would fit. There was a guy that ran a rear engine V8 setup in his, I'll have to see if I can find the thread, it was crazy. I think he converted to RWD though.

If you're running the stock Zetec, shouldn't that sticker say "Objects In Mirror Aren't Trying"?

I can beat Rangers in it. Mostly because of that 93 mph top speed that they have. I think the governor is set around there isn't it?

I haven't reached the limit on the Zx2 yet. I made it to 102, but I'm afraid to go any farther until summer. Studded tires are a little sketchy above 80. I'll have to take it to the track this summer before I take it back off the road and see what she can do. I'm not expecting anything spectacular, I just like to know my limits.

Cavaliers are my b*tch until about 60mph, then they just kind of slide on by. Sadly.

Other than that and a few odd cars here and there (Taurus is fail) I haven't done much racing. I don't like the risks vs the gains, since there really is no gain from street racing.
 
Torn between two options right now. I want to get some creature comforts and styling bolt ons for the Zx2 (rice, I know) but I also want to pay it off and get an F150. So hard to figure out..

After checking out the rear seating capacity on a 97-03 F150 supercab, I've decided I'll need the quad cab.. still a fiberglass bed!

I'm thinking something like this would fill my Rangers empty spot quite nicely, alot nicer than that rusty Mazda is. The extra length to the cab is throwing me off though, I don't like it but I need the rear seating capacity.

I'm trying to imagine what it would look like with stuffed wheel wells and covered in mud.. such difficult choices..

I want the space for hauling a *wimper* carseat around.

Planning on starting next year on my massive family. I want 12 kids, girlfriend wants two. Thats only 10 off eh?
 
koda, every single automatice zx2 i have EVER seen has had transmission problems. cant believe u paid that much for one, if u drove to jersey i coulda sold u any number of dozens of escort zx2s for about 1k each, thats about all there worth
 
I don't have transmission problems? A trucker that works with my brother has one with over 180k, all on stock parts, timing belt and other regular maintenance excluded.

You might as well include Rangers in that transmission bracket. IMO all Ford auto trannies that I have dealt with are crap. Manual is the way to go. If there was a 5speed zx2 floating around in my area when I bought this (I was in a pinch) I would have taken it instead. But since the only zx2 in my area was this one, that is why I bought it.

I don't think I even knew that ZX2's were available with sticks. That would have been nice, I'm sure it would have milked a little more pep from the Zetec.

I think the main reason why I baby the throttle on my Ranger is because of the trans problems I had with my ZX2.
 
They have alot more oomph with the 5speed than the auto. I drove one around a few months ago, definately enjoyed it. My zx2 is more of a comfort vehicle for me (with the exception of headroom) so I'm happy with the auto as it is. You won't believe how warm that sucker gets in 0* weather. I can just sit back and relax while I'm driving.

If I wanted a racecar I would have bought a mustang.
