Right now I'm more or less looking for something with a truck bed. I spend a lot of time browsing craigslist and I need to be able to pick up large items at the drop of a hat when I find a good deal, it's where 80% of my income comes from.

yeah, thats a new york truck. we dont hsve as much salt down here on long island. and im insanely nuts with cleaning my cars.

yeah im looking for another ranger myself. browse the long island craigslist ads. i see pickups all the time for under 6k with really low miles.

it would be worth the trip down.

yeah trucks dont rust alot down here, except for toyotas, theres no helping them even if they spent there life in a bubble.

I'm getting closer.

I looked at a Dakota the other day. Club cab, 4x4, V8/auto. Rust free and gorgeous. Decided against it though because of the MPG's I'd be losing.

I think the best situation right now would be to sell the Mazda, so I can have cash on hand when a Ranger comes along.

Truck is sold. Well, they're paying for it and picking it up tonight so I consider it sold.

It was a fun experience. If I ever find another sweet deal on one of these I might pick it up.

Had to. Truck wasn't worth fixing for me. I wanted a 4x4, and all I had was a poorly undergeared Ranger with a bad tranny and a bunch of fluid leaks.

But yes, I am shopping for a 3rd gen. Hopefully a 1993/4 Supercab with a 4.0, auto, and 4x4. Power windows would be nice too but I'm already looking for an extremely specific combination.

They offered me 800, the price was 1000 FIRM and I went down to 900 for them. They went off about how it's going to need new tires to get inspected well NO SHIT.

Some people just piss me off.

Truck is reposted on craigslist, and I have contacted some other people who had intrest in the truck.

Yeah, ticks me off. They had me get the title ready and everything, good thing I only filled out the seller section and left off the dates and mileage and whatnot. That's going back in the safe I suppose.

They said they'd be "in touch" but I'm tempted just to ignore them.
