Knocking sound.

I have an `03 extended cab and when I'm driving over a rough road there is a knocking sound coming from behind the back wall of th cab. I've checked the jump seats and the jack components and it's not those so what could it be? I haven't taken the cover of the back wall but is there anything in there that could cause the noise? Any ideas?

My first guess would have been the jack also, but since you checked that out my second guess would be a cab mount, transmission mount, maybe even the exhaust system? You'll have to go underneath for some exploratory surgery, check every bolt you see until you find something loose.

mine does the same thing... have a loose shock mount. long shot but i'd still check it if i were you

+1. Look hard at your exhaust system and body mounts.

Well I checked the rear body mounts, shock mounts, exhaust hangers and most everything else but I still haven't found what's making the noise...

Today I took out the rear seats, jack parts, rear seatbelts and everything else that I could remove and went for a drive. It still knocked/creaked/squeaked! I decided it had to be the body mounts so I tried to tighted and or loosen them but couldn't get them to budge. I soaked them with PB Blaster for a couple of hours then with WD40 for a few more hours and now the noise is gone!
