I agree with the wiggle test.
Idle it and start manhandling the engine harnesses and the battery cables, especially the small wire from the Bat- post to the radiator support. Bang on the relays and the fusebox, see if that makes it hiccup. We've had a couple guys with loose PCM Power Diodes, give that a good look (it matters which way it is installed, so note that before removing it).
Don't get too wrapped up with the brake light symptom. That could be simply that the power to the truck is killed momentarily, like turning the key off/on and the brake light comes on as power is restored.
