Keyless entry question

Just bought this 98 2wd 4.0 but there was only one key and no remotes. I see them all over Ebay. Which one do I need? Thanks and have a on me

Does it already have keyless entry? If so, what kind? It really depends on the kind. If you have a factory alarm, you will probably have to take it to the dealer so they can do stuff with the computer. Some aftermarket ones have a button somewhere that you hold down and you hold down the button on the remote for a certain number of seconds to sync them up.

Your best bet is to go to/call an audio/accessories shop and see if they can help.

IF you have keyless entry and no factory alarm, there is a procedure in the owners manual on how to program the key fob / new keys for your rig.

Well I'm assuming that it is a factory system and it does say "THEFT" in the dash when I lock it. So if it is a factory installed system I should be able to get one off of ebay that comes with programming instructions. There are a boatload of factory remotes on Ebay that come with instuctions for no more than $20.

Then I'd say go for it. I did have a blazer that had a anit theft light on it that wasnt keyless entry. You might be able to find which one you need in the owners manual.
